Our story

Developed in Florida, Made in Denmark.

We set out to change hydration for good.

It all started with a full stomach

Being hydrated is more than just drinking your electrolytes; the main factor is water. Before early mornings football practices in the summer, I found it hard to eat breakfast, drink water, and then drink a hydration drink all before a 6 A.M. practice and not feel like sending it all right back out. It was then that I wondered if there could be a better way to hydrate.

So I looked at the most convenient delivery format I could find, getting rid of everything that was unnecessary and leaving us with just electrolytes, and I found powders. I don't know if you have ever tried to just take the powder without liquid, but I'll tell you first hand - it's not fun. After some more thinking, I became hooked on the idea of a pouch; you put it in and hydrate without even thinking about it.

Turning that idea into something real took a long time. At this point, there was nothing like it on the market, so I took it upon myself to do as much research as possible and see if this was plausable. After a few months, I decided it was possible, and consulted my father. As a fifteen year old at this point, I was naive to the process of inventing a product, an area in which he, luckily, was experienced in. We decided to apply for a patent before moving forward. This took a lot of time, and while I waited, I decided to become an expert in the field of electrolytes so I could create the perfect product.

Once we processed the patent, it was time to start the production process. I soon realized that this was a very difficult task; I reached out to countless pouch manufacturers and got zero responses, until finally, one decided to take a chance on us. During the call, though, we realized that they wouldn't be able to fit as much electrolytes as we had hoped into the pouch. So, we had a decision to make; either we could jump at the first oppurtunity presented to us but compromise the functionality of this product I had spent so much time and energy on, or we could hold out and keep searching for a different manufacturer.

We held out. Taking that deal would have put something on shelves a lot s ooner, but a pouch that can't carry a real dose of electrolytes isn't worth making. That is when God answered our prayers and our current manufacturer responded to my email. We were elated. I still remember the first call we had, my dad at his office and me skipping class hiding in the bathroom giddy with excitement a the thought of what we could accomplish. It was time for prototyping.

After multiple runs that we didn't believe were up to par, we finally landed on a formula that suited our picky needs, and we had a functional electrolyte pouch that we believe can rival any sports drink in hydration. After handing them out to teammates and friends of mine, we knew that we had really made MOVO.

Once we had a functional product, I decided to put my trust in marketing in the hands of the high school athletes I had come to know so well, and who I knew needed easy, perpetual hydration throughout their practices and games to get through the Florida heat. That is who MOVO was built for.

How we work

Three rules we don't bend

  • Say what's in it

Every active and its dose is printed on the site and the tin. No proprietary blends, no hiding behind a label.

  • Don't oversell it

MOVO is a convenient way to take electrolytes. It isn't magic, it isn't medicine, and it doesn't replace drinking water.

  • Make it in Denmark

Formulation and production stay close to home, under EU food-safety standards, so we can stand behind every batch.

What's next

MOVO launches with four flavors, Mint, Citrus, Mixed Berry, and Watermelon, at 18 pouches per tin. We're a small team focused ongetting the first run right rather than rushing it out, and we now believe we have the product I foresaw over a year and a half ago.
